For this week's edition of Two Birds' Inspiration Monday I'm showcasing my very loose interpretation of Emma Watson's look.
Not only is it a great opportunity to show off my new floral print peplum skirt (two trends, one garment - love it!), it's given me the chance to show my ghostly white ankles some love (I swear, they aren't normally so pale).

This skirt was the piece that caused me to break my self-imposed shopping ban. I didn't want to want it, but I did. Even then, I was prepared to walk away without it; that is until a complete stranger complimented me as I walked out of the change room.
That was it. I was sold.
Since that fateful day last week I've done more shopping than I had in the past two months. One of my excuses is that I had a bad day on Wednesday and decided that retail therapy was the only way to cure my blues. And it did.
My credit card however has different feelings (disappointment and exhaustion) about my purge. Oh well. I needed the clothes for work (that's my story and I'm sticking to it!)
Thanks to my binge, I'm now more than ready for the seasons to *really* change and for the sunshine and warm weather to set in!
New month, new self-imposed shopping ban.

ReplyDeleteI really am digging this peplum skirt on you. I break bans all the time so when I find I want to buy something, I leave the item and go to a thrift store to see if I can find something that is similar. Often times I find that I will be glad to have had that time to think about it because when I do go back to buy it, I don't feel so bad about it. :)

ReplyDeleteJust like a diet, if I impose a shopping ban on myself I inevitable fail so I tend to go with moderation instead! LOVE this peplum floral skirt- what a statement piece!
