I have no willpower, which, according to my interpretation of this
LearnVest article, is because I don't drink enough juice. Okay, I know that's not exactly what they're saying, I just want an excuse to drink juice (MinuteMaid fruit punch is one of my vices).
Regardless of how much, or how little, glucose is in my system, I have absolutely no willpower when it comes to shoes.
One day after uttering the words, "I really don't need anymore
shoes..." I went and bought these Nine West platform Mary Janes. It wasn't my fault. I'd seen them days before while wandering through Rideau and displayed excellent willpower at the time.
Fast forward two days and I couldn't stop thinking about them. That's when I realized that I had nothing
like them in my closet; plus, they were 50% off, so it would have been stupid not to buy them - don't you love my attempts at
rationalization?!
Really, all it comes down to is that I have
no willpower, and after wearing these to work earlier in the week, I have no
regrets.

Love your shoes! I have very similar willpower, if I cant get an item out of my head I have to have it!!
ReplyDeleteIf you have no regrets they're totally meant to be :) It's the ones you buy on a whim that usually get you... They sit in your closet for months and never get worn once.
ReplyDeleteBut I would have to say those shoes were definitely worth it :)
Ha ha - as far as I'm concerned, it's so much more important to save your willpower for things like exercising and staying away from juice :) There is always an excuse for new shoes. Especially a pair as amazing as these!

I really like the blouse! And same here, I don't usually want a lot of things, but when I love an item I HAVE to buy it haha or else I go crazy.
ReplyDeleteThose shoes were a great purchase, not matter how you rationalize them! Love the pattern too. This entire outfit is lovely :)
