I am not a club-goer. There was a time in my life when I was all about hitting up the clubs.
Now I'm old.
So, when I was asked to cover a fashion show at a downtown nightclub a couple weeks back, I was a little thrown off that it didn't start until 10PM. But, being the consumate profession that I am, I got out of my pjs, got all dolled up and trudged out. The things I do for fashion.
Because I'm no longer a club dweller I wasn't sure what to wear, so I decided to remix one of my favourite outfits (seen here) taking it from office appropriate to club appropriate.
Even with heels, a mini-skirt and the peek-a-boo bra action I had going on, I was still, somehow, overdressed. So is the life of an old 25-year-old I guess.

LOL I'm sure you're not old but yeah an event STARTING at 10pm would be way too late for me! I think you picked a great outfit - although I'm no judge I haven't been out to a club in forever. How was the event?
ReplyDeleteHey! 25 isn't old, please tell me it isn't old! (my quarter century birthday is just 3 weeks away...eep!) But I do relate to the feeling of being over the usual clubbing age, last time I went to the bar I felt SO out of place! I'm much happier with wine at a low key pub where I can actually talk to the people I'm with!

I know what you mean- at 23 I also feel too old to be clubbing and never know how to dress appropriately. I think you look great though- sexy but not sleazy which is a hard balance to pull off!
