When and why did you start your site? 

I started my blog in 2008 as a creative outlet to document my photographic/writing journey and it blossomed into local features on boutiques and events in Ottawa as well as events abroad.

How would you describe your site? 

My blog is kind of a mixture of fashion events, photography, boutique features and random spotlights on other events, it’s a reflection of all things that I enjoy and most importantly features that I think people will love to read.

Where do you get your inspiration? 

I get my inspiration from street style and different cultures.

Who are your style/beauty icons? 

I have so many…I really love Denise Basso, Jimmy Webb of Trash & Vaudeville, Charlie by Matthew Zink, Karl Lagerfeld, Cynthia Rowley and Zac Posen only to name a few.

Describe your personal style. 

My style changes all the time, I could be super feminine one day wearing a “cutsy” dress and the next day, completely “rocker chic”.  I love to spruce up my outfits with fun accessories.

What was the best style/beauty advice you were given? 

Be bold with your make-up and wear a bright color on your lips.

Where are your favorite places to shop? 

I love to shop on Etsy.com, YesStyle.com, Young Janes and Patricia Fields.

What are your favorite trends for this season? 

I am a sucker for fall/winter boots; I am really loving all the cognac knee-high boots, they are super hot with a nice pair of dark denim jeans.

Style/Beauty Pet Peeve? 

Wearing socks with sandals will always bother me lol

What do you never leave home without? 

My sunglasses!

What are your five essential items that you think every woman should own?

A tailored blazer, dark denim jeans, hot pair of shades, a large stylish purse that can translate from day/night and a cute pair of booties for the fall.

Where do you see yourself and your site in five years? 

I hope to see my photography portfolio progress overtime.

What's on your nightstand? 

My laptop and some Essie nail polish.
