For the second week in a row I had trouble with the Inspiration Monday challenge. It wasn't coming up with an idea, but it was in the execution where I was having issues; I'm blaming hormones.
But, I digress. This week's inspiration was Olivia Munn and her slouchy, cute, striped look:

As I mentioned, I was having trouble loving the images from my first Inspiration Monday shoot. I had taken a very literal approach in recreating Olivia's look, but I was having one of those days where the shirt felt way too tight and the horizontal stripes were remarkably unflattering; so, I scraped it and went with a different and more flattering approach.
And, one that let me show off my brand new Forever 21 sweater.
When I came across this sweater on the Forever 21 website I knew it was the sweater for me. As West Coast girl, umbrellas and rain symbolize winter to me more than snow, so I had to make it part of my winter wardrobe.
The day I picked up the sweater was also the day I walked around the city unknowingly with one dilated pupil thanks to the Optometrist. But that's a story for another day (and one where I show off my new hardware)...
Want a great story for today? Head over to Two Birds and take a look at the other Inspiration Monday posts.

I don't know what your original look was like, but this one is great! I love your F21 top...and the fit is perfect. I once had my pupils dilated by an optometrist and he used a really strong solution. They didn't even start to go down for over 48 hours! I felt like a hungry Cullen! (reference to Twilight if you're not a fan) LOL
ReplyDeleteLove the umbrella sweater! Super cute.
