Do you ever have those weeks where you're just feeling blah? Where you want to be quiet? I'm in the midst of one of those weeks, which might explain why I've been wearing so many black, white and grey tones. Yes, there have been a few pops of colour here and there, but for the most part I've been dressing like the cloud that's been looming overhead.
I could blame hormones, the weather, or because it's day three of my bikini boot camp and I really miss snacking, but really I think it's just one of those weeks. I'm just not feeling very colourful.
Thankfully I have a closet full of cloudy chic clothes for those weeks when I don't feel so colourful.
Bikini bootcamp? Do tell. I'm in the midst of what I actually hope will be a permanent ban on evening snacking... but I was raised on evening snacks and I've tried countless times to kick the habit, so we'll see. Any extra motivation would probably be helpful :) As for dressing like a cloud, I must say you definitely don't look like one. Honestly, what I love about your blog is how put together and stylish you always look while being totally work appropriate. If I ever have to go back to an office job - God forbid - I'm taking styling tips from you!

Thanks so much Cee, you're so sweet :)
DeleteI know exactly what you're going for! My evening snack in my favourite! We should motivate each other to give up snacking! I might do a post on the bikini boot camp this weekend, recap my first week - what worked, what didn't and what I ignored ha
I really love that belt, I've been looking for a super wide one like that for ages. I'll have to check out Jacob I guess! Ahhh bikini boot camp sounds rough... at least with p90x you get snacks!! hopefully you kick the blahs soon. spring is right around the corner :)
ReplyDeleteThanks hun! Jacob has a few really cute belts right now (and on sale!)
Deletei feel that way, too. maybe it's spring fever!! either way, you still look great in your blacks and greys!
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies! And, thankfully spring is right around the corner!
DeleteI have times like this so I know how you feel. It's funny how we reflect how we feel in our clothes, even though this is grey outfit it still looks lovely. You look very polished (as usual!) Good luck with the bikini bootcamp, I am not sure I would have the discipline to last beyond the first day with anything like that.

DeleteLooking good girl! I think it's the weather, honestly. It's too cold and depressing around here and I think it's reflected in my clothes too.
ReplyDeleteI do love the pop of colour in your necklace though!
Thanks Kelly!
DeleteIt's definitely the weather (and maybe a bit of the hormones). I'm ready for some sunshine and warm temperatures!
Absolutely gorgeous feminine look and pop of statement necklace is just perfect and I like that You belted your dress, such a stylize touch.

Cute outfit! Glad to hear though that your week has turned out better than when you wrote this post :) I was wondering, since I noticed you wearing a corset-style belt, if you had any advice for how to wear that when one is shorter, or more short-waisted?
ReplyDeleteThanks hun!
DeleteIf you're short-waisted I would get a belt that's not as wide as this one (as much as I love this belt, it aways takes me a while to get it in the right place) and then fit it to the smallest part of your waist. One of the biggest things I've learned is not to belt it too tight - this makes a huge difference in how it looks, and it's just so much more comfortable. And, as always, just have fun with it!
