Thanksgiving Day Off

Dress & Denim Jacket - Old Navy, Tank - Smart Set; Flats - Aldo

Today is a holiday in Canada affectionately known as Turkey Day! And, while I'm not eating turkey (or even tofurkey) I'm taking full advantage of the day-off by lounging in my chicest sweatpants and curling up with one of the many library books I have in my possession. It's fantastic.

Today is also my last day of freedom before 18 action-packed days of work and Graphic Design classes. While I'm so excited to take the classes, I'm a little bit sad to be losing two consecutive weekends. But, I know if the end it will all be worth it; at least the nap I'll take on Saturday, October 27th, will be worth it.

In honour of the holiday weekend, I decided that last Thursday would be casual Thursday (also, after trapsing around town in heels on Wednesday night, I just really wanted to wear flats), so I decided it was the perfect day to debut my impulsely purchased Old Navy wrap dress.

Bought just under the wire (before my October shopping ban kicked in) I was completely drawn to the colour and style of this dressplus, it matched perfectly with my ikat flats, so I took it as a sign that it was totally meant to be mine.

Comfortable, and casual; exactly what I like from my clothes.
And from my Thanksgiving Day off.

Hope you're having a fantastic (Canadian) Turkey Day!

  5. I love ikat so much I bought multiple curtains in the pattern! What a gorgeous colour dress on you and reading a book sounds like a glorious way to spend the day (I'll have to send you a recipe for homemade tofu roast mmm). Good for you in taking graphic design classes, I'm taking photography lessons the next 2 weekends, can't wait to learn a new skill!
