We're in the final moments of 2011, can you believe it?! To cap off this crazy year, this week's Style Profile will feature the best of the best of 2011.
Blair from the blog Atlantic
Pacific, Olivia
Palermo and Rachel Bilson, and often swoon over what the ladies on Gossip Girl
are wearing!

I adore everything about Natalia Vodianova, the casual
styling of Hanneli Mustaparta and the clean femininity Diane Kruger and Camilla
Belle. And Camilla Belle has killer eyebrows.

Describe your personal style.
"Modern classicism" - Eclectic, feminine, and yes, classic with a modern twist.
A girlfriend once said of out-there outfits: "You've just got to rock them." I've taken that to heart.
Style/Beauty Pet Peeve?
Style: black flats, huge
statment necklace/ring, something made entirely of sequins, flowy skirt (I
swear they make you walk more delicately), cigarette pants

Over the course of the year, we’ve had the
opportunity to learn about some of the country’s hottest fashion blogger. To
round out 2011, we’re recapping the best of the best responses to learn about
where they get their inspiration, the best advice they were ever given, and
what looks they can live without (hint, legging and UGGs make many a mention). Plus so much more!
Who are your style/beauty icons?

Audrey Hepburn; I turn to classic, timeless pieces
again and again, and Audrey was just the pinnacle of that aesthetic.
That's quite a long list, but right
now I find myself most inspired by Atlantic Pacific's Blair Eadie.
Her personal style is beyond measure, and I've never been more consistently
amazed by one person than I am by her.
Mary-Kate
and Ashley Olsen.
I
love looking back at pictures of Ali McGraw, Sophia Loren and Bridget Bardot. I
don't really look to any current "style icons", although I usually
love what Diane Kruger and Rachel Bilson are wearing.

Francoise Hardy, Hanneli Mustaparta,
Taylor Tomasi Hill, Viviana Volpicella, Audrey Hepburn, Brigitte Bardot, and Charlotte Casiraghi for her style too, but especially for her beauty - I'm a
big believer that makeup should always be natural, and that girl is so stunning
and usually bare-faced.

Right now, the list includes: Audrey Hepburn. Lady Gaga.
Most pop stars. My mom & sister. Countless other fashion bloggers. There
are many different people I look up to for fashion inspiration. A lot of the
time, the person I will think of depends on my mood and environment.
Audrey Hepburn, Zooey
Deschanel, Rory
Gilmore from the TV show Gilmore Girls, Anne Hathaway's character post-makeover
in The Devil Wears Prada, and Cher Horowitz in Clueless.

I'm actually loving Kate Middleton's style right now.
As for beauty icons, I have always loved Christy Turlington.

I love the ladies who go nuts when it comes to style,
like Gaga, Nicki [Minaj], and Rhianna, but I can't relate to them. My ultimate
style icon (slash LIFE icon) is Carrie Bradshaw. Whenever I go shopping my
motto is WWCW: what would Carrie wear?

Denise Basso, Jimmy Webb of
Trash & Vaudeville, Charlie by Matthew Zink, Karl Lagerfeld, Cynthia Rowley
and Zac Posen only to name a few.
Describe your personal style.
My style is a cross between girlie
vintage, preppy and rocker chic... I'm basically all over the place!
I would describe my style as simple, classic and
very feminine! I tend to be drawn to things that are girlie & pretty!
"Modern classicism" - Eclectic, feminine, and yes, classic with a modern twist.
Very eclectic, some might say random.
Experimental.
Bright and Happy, mixed with Dainty and Feminine, and a
touch of classic.
I prefer classic, feminine pieces with a fresh twist.
I'd say preppy, feminine and somewhat adventurous.
I'm a huge old movie buff and right now I'm buying a lot
of classic pieces. Tea-length skirts, black capes, wrist-length gloves... I
like monochromatic pieces with eclectic accessories that are just this side of
wild.
A little bit preppy, a little bit laid back.
Shameless (I don’t care if people think I look crazy),
comfortable (excluding footwear, of course) and fun!
What was the best style/beauty advice you
were given?
Less
is more.
To dress for your body, not for
trends.
Be
confident in what you're wearing. When you're confident, you feel good; when
you feel good, you look good.
A girlfriend once said of out-there outfits: "You've just got to rock them." I've taken that to heart.
Less
is more. I think this works for both style and beauty.
Always
look confident!
Be
bold with your make-up and wear a bright color on your lips.
Just
do it! (Thank you, Nike). Have fun and take risks: wear whatever you want and
try whatever beauty trends you want! Hair grows, make-up comes off and you can
always untag yourself on Facebook.
Jeffrey Campbell Lita’s and flatforms!
White girls in feather head
dresses.
Trying to be something/someone
you're not... It shows!
I
can't understand shredded anything (i.e., jeans, tights,
leggings, t-shirts, etc.) Also
stirrup pants, mom jeans, and UGGS - not a fan! Oh, also: Leggings as pants.
This is NOT a good look.
Details,
details, details! It's all in the details.
I
hate seeing women wearing Lululemons to the bar…
People
who wear workout clothes on a daily basis. Workout clothes can be cute, but
only when you're actually working out!
Super
mini-skirts, UGGS and Crocs.
My
biggest beauty pet peeve is unpainted fingernails/toenails. My style pet peeves are tights as
pants, Uggs and Crocs (there’s never an excuse!)
Poorly
fitted clothing and girls who wear leggings as pants.
Why
are you wearing UGGs in the summer? Why are you wearing salt stain covered,
misshapen UGGs at any time of the year?!
Too much makeup/bronzer/self-tanner. I also get annoyed
when it seems like a girl is a slave to trends without considering what looks
best and suits her personality.
Leggings as pants, yoga pants as pants, wide-brimmed
floppy hats, socks with high-heeled sandals, flared denim that is too short and
a lot of cleavage. *Shudder*
When people live in yoga
pants, and consider their outfit dressed up when they wear jeans.
Style pet peeves, I have a few.
One is when girls wear leggings as pants, without their shirts covering their
bums. Another
is when pants are so low I can see your underwear, or worse your thong.
Style: Refusal to wear one's
actual size.
Beauty: A visible line of
concealer at the jaw.
Wearing socks with sandals will always bother me lol.
Leggings as pants.
What are your five essential items that
you think every woman should own?
A
classic pair of pumps (in black and nude), a black blazer, a chambray shirt, a
well-fitted pair of dark skinny jeans, a knitted infinity scarf, and lots of
plain, over-sized t-shirts.
A
great pair of jeans, a perfect nude pump tailored blazer, a great handbag, and
a hot leather boot.
A
good moisturizer, a well-made handbag, ballet flats, red lipstick, a pretty
dress in a solid colour.
Obviously a little black dress, at least one pair of black
heels, red lipstick, cute underwear, and a great designer bag.
A trench, a striped shirt, a pair of skinny dark wash
blue jeans, ballet flats, and a ladylike purse with a chain strap.
Oh gosh, this is tough.
A day dress you feel great in and can wear anywhere. A really great fitting
pair of jeans. A pair of GORGEOUS shoes you love and don’t have to save for
special occasions. A favorite go-to nail polish. And good quality black opaque
tights.
A casually chic grey pullover sweatshirt style sweater,
aviators, a red wool coat, nude heels and a subtle, nude-ish lipstick - it goes
with everything and balances out a dramatic eye.
Blazer, great jeans, heels that you feel great in AND are
comfortable, perfume, and a pink hued top (it just brings so much life and
attention to your face)
A well-fitted, structured blazer;
A classic pair of heels; A pencil
skirt; A cute button-down top; The perfect pair of jeans.
Black boots, a chic coat, good
jeans, pretty dresses and red lipstick.
A tailored blazer, dark denim jeans, hot pair of shades,
a large stylish purse that can translate from day/night and a cute pair of
booties for the fall.
Badass shoes. Because if you’re
feeling sartorially unenthusiastic or challenged, you can throw on a plain
black dress, or jeans and a tee and your shoes will kick your outfit up a
notch, no prob; Cute flats (for when you just can’t take those badass shoes); A
go-to black dress. Cliché, yes. Essential, also; “Statement” jewelry. I love
big, bold, costumey pieces that can instantly pull a look together; A tailor.
Tell Petite Adventures readers something
random about yourself.
I
have some of the weirdest phobias - I have a fear of falling down stairs, of
having someone walk close behind me as I walk up stairs, I can't touch cotton
balls... the list goes on and on!
I
have a notebook filled with book titles and page numbers where I've found
spelling/grammatical errors.
I’m
a secret frat boy. I can beer pong and flip cup the s**t out of anyone.
Where do you see yourself and your site in
five years?
Writing a book and perhaps hosting a TV show. Not joking!
Those are my ambitions; besides, we need a new Oprah ;)
I'm gonna be like a superhero. By day, I'll be out in the
typical workforce (maybe marketing?). By night, I'll be a
fashion-blogger-event-hopper extraordinare!
Lounging in Chanel SS16 in the Hampton’s with my gold
Speedo-clad poolboy serving me Dom. Just kidding. I really don’t know where
I’ll be in five years and what I’ll be doing, but here’s hoping it’s something
good.

Aw so great seeing all the style profiles together! Thanks again so much for featuring me, it was so sweet. Hope you have an amazing NYE love!
